Translation FAQ

How do I translate or download language translations for CRMery?

We use transifex for translations. You may find our Transifex CRMery page at https://www.transifex.com/projects/p/CRMery/

Note: The Transifex translations are user contributed from people that live around the world. If using Transifex you will need to first create a free Transifex user account in order to access the CRMery Transifex project.

To signup and create a free Transifex account, please signup at https://www.transifex.com/signup/

Alternatively, you may also manually change the language of the entire component by creating a new language file and placing it in the appropriate Joomla language folder

Note: If the translation for your language is not available you may request to create it at the Transifex CRMery page. Alternatively, if the translation for your language is not yet complete you may request to join the CRMery translation team for your language.

Can you give an example of how to download the translation files for my language?

Note: The following directions are how to download the Spanish translations. The directions are nearly identical for other languages. However, please note that you will need to rename your files with the appropriate language abbreviation as well as move or copy your downloaded language files to the correct Joomla language folder. In the below example, the language abbreviation is es-ES

1) If the translations are available, navigate to your CRMery language project page

2) Download "CRMery Front Language" file. After downloading, rename the file to es-ES.com_crmery.ini

Then move or copy the "CRMery Front language" file from step 2 to your /language/es-ES/ folder on your web server

3) Download "CRMery Admin Language" file. After downloading, rename the file to es-ES.com_crmery.ini

Then move or copy the "CRMery Admin language" file from step 3 to your /administrator/language/es-ES folder on your web server

4) Download "CRMery Admin - en-GB.com_crmery.sys.ini" file. After downloading, rename the file to es-ES.com_crmery.sys.ini

Then move or copy the "CRMery Admin - en-GB.com_crmery.sys.ini" file from step 4 to your /administrator/language/es-ES folder on your web server

5) After finished with the above, login to your Joomla Administration ... click Users ... User Manager ... click the name of your user that you wish to edit ... click Basic settings ... then change Back-end language to the language that you wish to use AND also change Front-end language to the language that you wish to use.

Note: step 5 is only necessary if the language that you wish to use for your users is not the default language on your website.

How do I change the CRMery (tab / menu) language on the CRMery front-end?

Simply login to your Joomla administration ... navigate to Components ... CRMery ... Settings ... Language

Then change the language to your preference. Once finished, be sure to save for your changes to apply.
